Simon Carlsson

I have studied programming and am excited to work with all aspects of game development. I believe every area has its unique and cool experiences. Naturally, they come with their own challenges, but discovering solutions that can be applied to other areas is incredibly satisfying.

I originally worked as a childcare assistant at a kindergarten and had a love for games. When I decided to pursue higher education, I chose to study game development and wanted to continue in that field. I received my education at The Game Assembly (TGA), where I enhanced my understanding of programming with a focus on games.

I am a dedicated worker with experience in leading and working in teams. I have a focus on programming in C++ and experience working custom engines, Unity and Unreal Engine 5, and implemented Directx11 and Jolt Physics.

I have been interested in all types of games since I was a kid and find the social aspect of any task that a game can offer really entertaining. This can involve competing against each other or working together to achieve a common goal. I am a big fan of Magic: The Gathering,
but I have also played many role-playing games and Warhammer, even if I find the painting aspect of Warhammer to be the more enjoyable part.

I enjoy exercise that allows me to get out and experience nature like hiking and kayaking andI have been skiing since I was very young. I have also spent many years fencing and am a trained fencing instructor.

If you have any questions, please reach out and I will answer to the best of my abilities. I am easiest to reach through mail.
